The ending of a cycle
What a long way we’ve come since Solstice 2012.
Solstice 2019 marked seven years since I was in the heart of the Mayan land- in Palenque, Mexico- for the ending of the 5,125 year cycle.
For some unknowing people they said the world was going to end. In fact this ending was the opening up to a new age. A time where more light would come onto the planet. The Divine Feminine energies would start to be felt and honoured more. The old Gregorian calendar would become less pertinent as we explored time as non- linear. The Earth’s schumann resonance would increase meaning the actual speed, the pulsation of the Earths magnetic field got faster.

When I had felt the pull to go to Peru for the start of 2012 I had looked at where the world gathering was going to be that year, finding out it would be in Mexico. Right there and then decided I would be there at the end of the year, even know I had never experienced a Rainbow before. The Rainbow gatherings, for those that don’t know, happen across the world and have been since the 70’s. A group of people gather, usually in a remote natural environment to live for one moon cycle- off the land and leaving no trace when they leave. There is no cost to going and it usually has a no drink or drugs policy- a conscious environment. There is no security and you definitely can’t buy a ticket online. The world gathering that year- given it being 2012 had been chosen to be at the heart of the Mayan land in Palenque.
On the night of the 20th December moving into Solstice on the 21st, a group of us were waiting to go into the Mayan ruins. At exactly midnight the heavens opened and rain poured down. At this point I’d been in this area of Mexico for over three weeks and not seen a drop of rain. We went in and joined a large circle of people- including Mayan elders, priests and priestesses- in ceremony. Here we prayed, sung, danced, chanted and (I personally) lost all sense of space and time around the sacred fire. It felt like we’d opened up a portal to enable this new era to begin. After eight hours in the pouring rain the light had returned, we laughed and hugged each other, celebrating in the ecstatic shift. It was one of the most profound moments of my life.
I was lead by spirit to go back to my home town in the North West of England- much to my dismay “but why do I need to leave this sunny tropical paradise for grey old England- especially as everyone is so close minded there (in my small town)”. A realisation of how amazing it is to all come together for the common purpose of creating a consciousness shift (there were at least 2,000 people at the height of the gathering from all over the world) on the planet, living in a peaceful community that focused on unconditional love- but that ultimately we have to go off separately and spread that message in our own smaller pockets of the world.
A few months went by and I did follow this guidance and found my self back on home soil. It was hard to readjust after 15 months of travelling around South and Central America visiting and picking up codes at as many sacred sites as I could along the way, having studied both my yoga teacher training and becoming a Reiki Master, as well as starting my journey with sacred plant teachers. My mind had very much been blown open.
Arriving home I realised the irony of how I had gone so far in search of ancient temples and sacred sites when I hailed from one of the oldest lands there is. As well as it being where the heart chakra of the world is (Avalon and Glastonbury). I made it my mission to visit as many stone circles, ancient wells, castles, hill forts, burial chambers, ancient trees and all other sacred places I could in the sacred British Isles and Northern Island.
Since then I have been to many sites in Wales, Scotland, England and am hoping to visit Ireland in the near future. I am always astounded at our history and how much of the connection the land from our ancient Pagan and Celtic ancestors has been lost. The energy, however is still there and if you go looking you are able to feel the ancient murmurs of the land beginning to reawaken and tell her story.
A lot has changed since that date. For me I have:

Continued to offer many things to the beautiful and ever expanding conscious community here in Liverpool and beyond.
Since coming home I realised how what you emanate returns to you. Since I was mainly trying to put out kindness and compassion that is what has returned to me manifold. I continue to work with the sacred calendar and festival dates where intention setting and manifestation practice is particularly strong.
I have been a part of seeing an incredible conscious community be created in Liverpool and the North West and the shifts I’ve both personally and collectively witnessed in the past seven years have been immense…
And I have a feeling that’s just the beginning- hold on to your hats folks and believe me, anything is possible.
